Which Drinks Are Best for a Healthy Mouth?A healthy mouth is Ideal for good overall health. Therefore, taking good care of your mouth is ideal in maintaining normal body functioning. There are several ways you can ensure that your mouth is healthy. For instance, you can practice good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth twice a day and floss on a regular basis. You can also stick to healthy foods and drinks that help boost your oral health. Here are some of the drinks you can consume to keep your mouth healthy.

Milk

Milk is a nutritious drink full of minerals, vitamins, and proteins that are vital for your oral health. Phosphorus and calcium present in milk help strengthen and repair your tooth enamel. Vitamin D helps your body absorb more phosphorus and calcium. Vitamin D also plays an important role in fighting oral conditions like gum disease because it reduces inflammation.

Milk also contains casein, an important protein that helps fight tooth decay. This protein also protects the vulnerable tooth enamel by forming a protective layer around it. Even though milk contains natural sugar, you don't have to worry about it because it is not harmful to your teeth. You are encouraged to drink milk regularly for good oral health.

Green or White Tea

Tea is a common drink in many countries. However, not every type of tea is ideal for your oral health. Green and white tea contain antioxidants that help reduce inflammation in your gums and fight bacteria that cause cavities. As much as black tea also contains these antioxidants, it could stain your teeth. This is why you should stick to white and green tea that doesn't pose any risk to your teeth. White tea is also a great source of fluoride, a mineral that strengthens your enamel.

Tap Water

Tap water is ideal for fighting cavities. It is recommended that you drink sufficient water because it washes away any bacteria stuck on your teeth. Contact us for more information on the drinks good for your oral health.
